About Agentic Engineering

AI Workflow Automation.

I started Agentic Engineering to fix a gap I kept seeing as a CTO. Every business had the same problem, good people stuck on manual work that should run itself. Chasing reports. Copying data between systems. Qualifying the same kinds of leads. Always the same blocker to scale.

Five years ago, the answer was a SaaS subscription. Add another seat, another tool, another monthly bill. Not anymore. AI applied with control, governance, and process discipline, does what subscriptions couldn't: takes whole workflows off your team, built in bite-size pieces that map to how the work actually gets done.

Most UK SMEs don't have a CTO or a technical function to do this work in-house. That's the role I play. I help businesses adopt AI the right way, so it stops being a software line item and starts being an asset. IP that compounds. Capability that scales with you.

Who runs it.

Ex-CTO across UK and global scale-ups. Lean Six Sigma. SAFe. ISO 27001, GDPR, and EU AI Act fluent. AWS / FinOps specialism. Open-source contributor to Paperclip. I spent two decades running technology transformations inside global businesses, learned the hard way that you cannot automate your way out of a broken process, and started Agentic Engineering to apply that lesson to the AI agent problem. Two years building agent teams into UK SMEs, I've developed a method which allows us to determine the right way to deploy AI Agent solutions to maximise ROI.

Process Engineering.

Two decades of transformation work taught me one thing the hard way: you cannot automate your way out of a broken process. That lesson has a fifty-year-old framework behind it — Lean Six Sigma, specifically the DMAIC cycle: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control.

Most AI agencies skip straight to Improve. They take your existing workflow as given, wrap it in an LLM, and hand back a marginally faster version of the same broken thing. A year later you're maintaining an agent that does the wrong job efficiently.

You're the board.

Every digital workforce we deploy hands you the controls.

Approve hires
Override decisions
Set budgets
Pause or terminate anytime

Nothing happens in your business without your explicit say-so. Audit logs on every action. Approval gates on anything that touches a customer. Hard budget ceilings on every workflow.

The mental model:agents are employees. You're the board. You give them the rules they have to operate by, and they operate within those rules — strictly, predictably, and visibly.

When I was a CTO, I needed solutions that were reliable, secure, and controlled by my team. That's exactly what we build for every client.
